About the Designer
There’s something about small businesses. The welcoming beam of appreciation from the owner behind the counter, the dedication to using skills to serve others, or the fact that everything looks/tastes/feels better from a small biz – pretty sure this is fact.
Cluttered, clunky, and incredibly outdated.
The cake deserved better, and so did the sunshine lady who’d baked it & served me.
I knew I could create a website reflective of this fun-loving, delicious local business.
For me, it all started in a cake store.
Anyway, I was treating myself to a cupcake one lazy Saturday afternoon.
I’d strolled past, not intending to grab a sweet treat. But it was giving me
those puppy dog eyes from the window. I had to go grab one.
When I got home, cupcake devoured and taste buds tingling for more,
I did what we all do: Googled the business. And let me tell you, this site
was NOT giving me puppy dog eyes.
So I did. I put my degree & creative eye to use and started designing an identity reflective of this powerhouse small business.
The end result: a website that resonates with their customers (because, hey, I’m one of ‘em!)
